Wow. I’ve never seen a centrist reliant on liberal votes so determined to end his career in flames.

Someone needs to go find Don Graham and ask him if he now regrets his decision to sell the WaPo to Bezos.
every time you think the new WaPo editorial board can't embarrass itself any more, they manage to find a way.

Left: 'Texas gerrymandering is no big deal!', from August.
Right: 'Maryland gerrymandering is an affront to Western civilization!', from today.

The term ends 1/20/2029 at 12 noon. Then he’s done, unless a quarter-pounder does him in sooner.
"Can Donald Trump run for a 3rd term?"
No.
"What if he..."
Still no.
"How about..."
STFU, No.
"Then why are we talking about it!?"
Because evil MAGA apparatchiks need you to fear that he will.

Why Has Trump Been Flirting With a Third Term?
Trump cannot be president again. But he and his loyal followers have every reason for wanting to make people think he can.

I put off doing the inevitable…I called my insurance provider.

My current premium is $480. It will be almost $900 next year.

Thanks, Trump voters.

The LPGA has a solid track record of exploiting young athletes. Thompson and Wie were prodigies rushed into the limelight very young but now they seem to want to embrace the grift.

This remains the most insightful political cartoon of my lifetime.
I'm pro-union because I think workers should organize to balance the power that business owners have in various negotiations. It's true that unions have been weakened, but it's not because of multiculturalism. I would argue, it's because people seek to exploit divisions for their material interests.

I’m gonna say it’s about 180 degrees opposite poetic, but maybe that’s just me.

The best part of Billups’s eventual defense is that the Patel-led FBI have proven themselves to be unserious clowns. Way early but if it all proved a large nothingburger it would not shock anyone.
Evidence thin, at least in the indictments, compared to the hyperbole at the presser. But even the alleged crimes, a $7 million poker ring? That's peanuts given what's illegally wagered. Not a very big ring. More like a pinky ring.
Thin as in the evidence is thin, or the alleged crimes are minor?

Coal was destroyed by capitalism. Pure & simple. There’s no other answer. better, cheaper, cleaner forms of energy replaced it. It’s never, ever coming back.
Like Atari 2600s, VHS technology, carburetors and any number of other technologies that were popular in the 1980s but can no longer compete, it’s a waste of time and taxpayer resources to try and bring back coal. www.reuters.com/sustainabili...
Trump officials to announce plan to boost coal output
The United States is set to announce on Monday policies to try to boost the output of coal, the Interior Department said, as the Trump administration seeks to reverse the decline of the fuel's use.

This should be admitted into evidence at his war crimes trial.
Hegseth: "We unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on the enemy. We also don't fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement."

Someone with greater insight can peg how much the lifetime revenue value is per customer. I’m gonna guess it’s at least $1k, making this a hit to the Mouse of at least $1 billion in total revenue.

Members of the U.S. military up the entire COC need to be charged with violating the UCMJ as well as international law with these illegal actions.

The defenses that didn’t work at Nuremberg or My Lai will not save you this time either.
4th deadly US strike on a boat in the Caribbean.

As with the others:
-in area US military operates freely
-arrest low risk
-no legal rationale
-violates international law
-no evidence of who US hit

If really traffickers—very much an if—the move is interdiction. Would get evidence and intelligence.

That time when an alleged Dem said women should surrender their basic civil rights (bodily autonomy) to appeal to people who hate women.
I genuinely cannot believe that Ezra Klein said we should run pro-life candidates in Kansas, Ohio, and Missouri; three states that recently held abortion referendums where the pro-choice side won!

Easy to watch & more convincing probably than 99% of public campaigns.
