NEW: Ernst Tanner has built a powerhouse at the Philadelphia Union.

But my @us.theguardian.com investigation has shown wide-ranging allegations of misbehavior throughout his 7-year tenure.

Tanner denies the allegations, and was investigated by MLS this year.

MLS executive who built a powerhouse faced allegations of sexist, racist and homophobic behavior
Philadelphia Union sporting director Ernst Tanner denies the allegations, which prompted a recently-concluded MLS investigation that could not corroborate them

Many congrats to Danielle Colliver for campaigning hard and knocking off incumbent Judge Josh Berkowitz last night.

Hamilton County voters rejected the crime narrative that so many outsiders want to spin.

Guess we'll figure out how it ends next week.
Closed on a pure cop case this afternoon. Jury deliberates tomorrow. Confident in my case, but I hope I was able to express the injustice to the jurors.

Today I explained the burden of proof in a criminal case to a defense attorney that someone had hired to handle their case. As bad as it gets, man.

Third trial this week, third not guilty verdict. Love holding the state to its burden.

There are 0 songs celebrating a prosecutor successfully proving their case in a court of law. Something to consider.

another not guilty at trial today. can't take too much credit for this one. old case, not much evidence preserved. feel good about the decision to try the case vs. take the plea offer.

Took the family to the chili parlor today. The kid had his first real strip of bacon and fell asleep on the car ride home. Does it get more charmed than that?

Another not guilty today. Always a pleasure to try a case with Max Londberg sitting second. A trial dog to his core, never afraid to use the Lexis app at the counsel table.

The Bail Project is a really cool idea, but my experience with them is that they spend so much time looking for the perfect case. When the reality is the perfect case gets out of jail on their own recognizance.

For other services, they find ways to put up barriers.

Less useful than advertised.
