The problem with the "Farage was a racist" story is that we have a "left wing" gov't essentially saying that racism is a normal and expectable response to immigration. We are in a position where we have to argue "why it is wrong to be racist" and Labour need to take some responsibility for it

Your Party's founding conference next weekend is an opportunity to put the distractions and drama behind us and refocus on what actually matters: our members, our movement and our shared political vision of socialism.

The time is now.

I wish this was true but the brutal reality is that we can’t even prevent Tony Blair hurling himself into new, more horrific crimes against humanity, never mind convict him of the previous ones.

To understand those who have overseen our politics in recent decades, you need to grasp the smug, technocratic ethos informed by reading a few pop science books, stand-up, new atheism & music journalism.
They thought they were the smartest guys in the room. They still do.
Most of them are on here.

The Great Moving Far Right Show.
Wish I could say I was shocked, but here's the Labour government constraining the right to peaceful protest again...

'You can protest but only according to our rules. The rules are: you're not allowed to use any of the tactics that make protest effective.'
NEW: Home Office announces planned new anti-protest powers, mainly aimed at pro-Gaza protests like those for Palestine Action. Police will be able to consider the "cumulative impact" of repeated protests and potentially order that they be relocated.

Lmao, one of the government's loudly hailed "new towns" schemes is literally just "more of Milton Keynes". Not more towns like Milton Keynes, it's just urban sprawl around actual Milton Keynes.

So you'll stop all arms exports to Israel? No
So you'll impose sanctions? No
So you'll end all military ties? No

So just empty words from a govt complicit in genocide

So Corbynism is back, but we must call it Burnhamism or Manchesterism.
Fascinating insight into the editorial position of the NS team:
The 70s are good again, and New Labour were idiots.
Who knew?

at any given moment starmer has like 3 different positions put forth in articles and commentary, or lisa nandy is on TV being wrong about NI numbers, and his home secretary is saying something else *again* this very morning. I dunno man it kinda feels like they're lying to everyone, all the time
I sat down with the Prime Minister and asked him if he’s been doing enough to counter the shocking rise of the far right in this country.

It may have taken too long, but it’s good to hear him speaking like this now.

If you wanted to create the conditions for the exact dangerous behaviour these same people shrieked about for a decade now, this is what you'd do.
I have spent *years* telling people partisan Israel wingnuttery mostly exists on a left-right axis, because it does. And I cannot tell you how utterly toxic it is for the Labour Party to conceal donations from billionaire Israel cranks, to crush the Palestinian solidarity movement. It is astonishing

I cannot underline hard enough how awesomely corrupt it looks, that the SNP were d3str0yed over that, while this fucking idiot took huge bungs from Israel partisans to wreck his own party and then create a government that would assist in the genocide of the Palestinians. It is unbelievably bad!

The brief summary of the “coppers storming Nicola Sturgeon’s house” stuff is that the police were told the SNP had spent donations they were given for a second referendum on day-to-day party maintenance. I’m not even sure that is a crime. Now, look at what these clowns have done.
