Here's a (somewhat arbitrary) tier list of the characters from Arcane S1 based on how well-written I think they are--a tier list that always remains fixed and totally never changes after each viewing. By the way, there are no bad characters in this show.

Invincible S3 was pretty darn good.
Conclave was the Best Picture nominee that I was most excited to see and I was not disappointed. This movie is awesome.
The screenplay is fantastic, full of thematically rich dialogue that's enhanced by terrific performances, especially from Ralph Fiennes, who's very understated. Though...

I've just seen A Complete Unknown and I think it's pretty good.
As far as musician biopics go, it could have been a lot worse. In the end, it's a straightforward character study about a man who wanted to secure a legacy that would reach beyond and change the art movement he was attached to.

Now that I've seen The Brutalist (a very good movie), I'm ready to give my thoughts on the Adrien Brody controversy.
From what I've seen, it's unclear whether they used AI to replace all of Brody's Hungarian dialogue or if they used it to touch up specific pronunciations which sounded inauthentic.

one of my favorite running storylines in culture is that people treat JAMES BOND as a franchise full of classic, beloved movies that has only recently lost its way, when the reality is that literally almost every single movie in the history of the franchise sucks.

I don't think people who have this mindset when engaging with media should be allowed anywhere near these awards ceremonies.

The (very late) Andor S2 trailer was pretty cool but, after Arcane S2, I'm not using it as any indicator of the season's quality -- especially when considering the troubles that it's faced during production.

Nickel Boys is a good movie that I think is held back by its style.
I feel like the story's direction is heavily restricted by the filmmakers' choice to almost only use POV shots throughout; and this reminded me a lot of 1917, a film which I think suffers from a similar problem.
