One clear way the “circle of life” works is that all the people who were up late in a hotel being loud after 11pm and keeping a family with young girls awake will be awakened by those young girls running and screaming in the same hallway before 6:00am Joined by their dad.

Both our young daughters are currently cleaning up the house so they can have friends over and it occurred to me that our house would be a lot cleaner if we had friends over every day.So

Just overheard parents in my daughter’s gymnastics class talk about how quick they can get through Christmas dinners and get relatives out over the holidays. At that point just don’t DO dinner with relatives. They’re probably rushing thru dinner to get away from those arseholes anyway. Good talk.

One of the weird things about reintegrating into Eastern Standard Time after 2 weeks in mountain/pacific time is eating lunch at what your body thinks is 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning. But I’m proud to say, it’s one of my top life skills.
