Good. They should keep distance from him. He has batshit crazy policies. He’s going to win, it’s extreamly sad that Andrew ran, he should have never run (ego twat). Anyone else who ran would have made sure mamdani wouldn’t win.
It's remarkable how reluctant the Democratic Party establishment has been to get behind Mamdani's campaign. His political communication skills are really top level.
Mamdani: "I just want to speak directly to the president. I will not be a mayor like Mayor Adams who will call you to stay out of jail. I won't be a disgraced governor like Andrew Cuomo who will call you to ask how to win this election. I can do those things on my own."

BASED!
My sincere thanks to Peers for completing their scrutiny of the Renters’ Rights Bill yesterday.

With no Lords amendments coming back to the Commons, the Bill will soon receive Royal Assent allowing us to transform the experience of private renting for millions of tenants.

Reform didn’t gain the seat? They kept it? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I read this, I hope they go for option 3 (narrative). I'm hoping they do a bold budget.
New post just out:

"Staying alive vs taking control"

Labour's big choice at the budget is whether they just want to try and survive it or whether they're willing to take some bigger risks that would have future payoffs.

Wow at Keir starmer speech. Best speech he's ever given. Lets fucking gooo Labour. Felt like he finally told us what he believed and he showed us his true self especially against Reform. He was on the offense and took Reform down.

Please fight this. My mums under indefinite leave to remain and could be deported under this. (I hold citizenship tho).
This has nothing to do with the Boris wave or illegals. it will cause economic destruction and will fuck families over.
I'll have more to say on Reform's proposals to scrap ILR at some point but for now I'll just note this - anyone telling you this is a popular idea doesn't know the polling. Overwhelming majority of public back giving people who work and pay taxes most or all rights after 5 years or less

But don't you need to do something by next month otherwise it's too late for 2026?
This moment requires us to be prepared to fight fire with fire — and we won't hesitate to act if Texas Republicans move ahead with this ridiculous power grab.
Texas Republicans have unveiled a more extreme new gerrymander that targets 5 Dems by diluting Latino & Black voting power.

Trump won 30 of 38 seats by >10 points & 27 seats by >15 points. All GOP seats likely stay safe, & none that Trump won by <20 got bluer davesredistricting.org/join/b82658a...

Why doesn’t Keir Starmer / NO 10 hire @samfr.bsky.social ? Or at least I hope no10 are reading his stuff. He’s worked for the govt before. He seems to understand the problems and understands what needs to happen to fix it.

It's good that the welfare bill was changed so existing claimants get to keep their PIP and that there will be a review with disabled people participation. This should have been the bill at the start. Not a rushed up bill that fucked people over. There's strength in listening.

What about changing it to 3 + covering those who score highly regardless?
Not really sure what concession they can make. Because it's one substantive change (saying you have to score 4pts for one daily living activity). Remove that + you've reverted to the current system.
EXC - No10 is set to offer concessions to Labour rebels on welfare. Talks are ongoing but changes could be made to Pip reforms.

A number of cabinet ministers are now said to believe the bill has no chance of passing in its current form

@bsky.app please fix login! I'm having to keep resigning in multiple times a day. I'm not sure if it is because I have multiple blue sky tabs open but even so it shouldn't log you out! It's very annoying to have to keep re-logging in. I never have this issue on mobile (iOS) only on the Macs safari.

With me it's to do with winning. I currently disapprove of democrats for multiple reasons but I guess it aligns with what carvile says thehill.com/homenews/med.... I think Schumer needs to go, we need someone else. Some of the stuff dems are doing like that one dem who proposed impeachment just

I don't really see him as a front runner at least that didn't occur to me. What it did do for me is it made me have a better opinion of him and a replacement for dem senate leader. Finally felt like they are getting their act together. He even apologised and said we will do better.
Cory Booker propelling himself to front runner status for 2028. It’s not so much the act itself but the fact the field is so wide open, Dem leadership so lacking that it’s crying out for someone to step up. Looks like he has. But can he sustain?

I'm backing Mallory!!!
We need new leaders in Washington. I’m running for Senate to be one. Let’s go.

I didn't ask to be born this way. It just seems I'm being targeted for being disabled. That people hate me for being disabled? I never thought I would see this. It just seems cruel and heartless.
