Missed it at TIFF, but caught up on it tonight, Japan's Oscar submission KOKUHO is a stunner. Beautifully shot and realized, I think this is a dark horse of the category.

Really impressed by Switzerland's Oscar submission LATE SHIFT. Plays a lot like THE PITT with its take on the personal toll of the nursing shortage as one woman holds down the fort in her short-staffed ward. Great performance by Leonie Benesch (THE TEACHERS' LOUNGE) carries pretty much every frame.
