Out of Africa is a favourite for obvious reasons. Although tbh he and JLo did not get enough praise for An Unfinished Life!

Enjoyed #tiff50 opener John Candy: I Like Me. The festival's struggled with opening night selections, but this one strikes the right now of heat, humour, and Canadiana to kick off the 50th edition. 🇨🇦

Binged Sirens. What a big first to last episode drop. Episode one had me feeling like I was watching some very exciting 'Palm Royale meets Get Out' thing. And then it quickly became... not that...just a strange vehicle for great interior decorating. Fun performances by Fahy/Moore though. Hey, hey. 🐦‍⬛

It took over two years, but it looks like Milisuthando -- the best damn documentary of 2023! -- finally has distribution and is opening theatrically in the US this week. Canada next, please. 🙌 www.instagram.com/p/DJpsCmKtY5...

$20 says that Mother's Instinct will one day be the 2024 film that achieves certified cult status. Actresses actressing, Hitchcockian camp, bitch slaps, day-drinking with vintage glassware, dead children--this movie's got it all. If only they'd submitted as a comedy. 🌭
