The Government said it’d cost £99bn to publicly own our water.

But this figure is based on a report paid for by… the water companies.

The true cost is closer to zero.

Two weeks ago, we won £615 million back for schools.

But we’re not stopping just yet.

With the spending review coming on June 11, we’re looking to move all of our MPs and tell them to pressure the Chancellor.

Will you join us and send an email to your MP now?
Take action to stop new school cuts
Tell your MP to write to Chancellor Reeves and insist that she stop the new cuts and begin reversing more than a decade of austerity.

The polls are clear. We should not be pandering to the right, we should be listening to trade unions and pivoting to the left. End the fiscal self-harm, invest in public services, tax the rich, and watch the votes flow back to Labour.

“The standard Labour ministerial line is that any historic act of struggle was noble and necessary – indeed, they would have manned the barricades themselves – but modern equivalents are the preserve of malcontents and malefactors who deserve a good truncheon or tasering.”

I wouldn't normally share the Daily Mail, but behind the sensationalism of the "booze-fuelled holiday" there is a serious point. Council's are hemorrhaging money to supply agencies. It would be cheaper and more efficient to re-establish council-run supply pools.

The Schools Bill is a good first step to de-academisation. To go further Labour need to accept that academies do not lead to better standards of education for children👇🏻

The actions of UL is an existential threat to one of the few terms that make teaching a long-term career choice. If academies leverage the cost of living to coerce mass departures from the TPS, the scheme will die. A good salary and a good pension should not be mutually exclusive.

It would be naive of the government to believe the, Employment Rights Bill (good but insufficiently radical) could nullify workers anger towards pay cuts and the cost of living.
