the point of a game is not to beat it, it is to play it. difficulty is only "a problem" if it is "in the way" of beating the game, which is an issue in the mindset of the player, not in the structure of the game. redoing parts of a fun game is not a punishment, it's an invitation to hang out

2025 was rough for me in a lot of ways, but I feel like it's allowed me to enter 2026 with a perspective on what I value from the stuff I create and knowledge on overcoming the creative pitfalls I've fallen into many times. In an arms-length personal sense I'm really looking forward to this year

i've sorta-kinda made it as a work-from-home programmer now, so I think this year I'll have the time to try and do every challenge in Advent of Code. this years been fun n' easy so far, with my only trouble coming from missing some stuff in the instructions for Day 1

chainsaw man movie was very very good! I'm coming out of it way more positive on the stretch of story it covers than I was reading it. Really overwhelming adaptation in a lot of ways
