I had the precious opportunity to work on interior illustrations for @rrookstudio.bsky.social 's "Dark Designs in Verdigris".
Brought back many childhood memories reading the original Oz books in the library.

It was a treat to be involved in illustrating this. Brought back childhood memories of checking out L. Frank Baum's books from the elementary school library. John R. Neill's illustrations certainly made an impression.

It was a treat to be involved in illustrating this. Brought back childhood memories of checking out L. Frank Baum's books from the elementary school library. John R. Neill's illustrations certainly made an impression.
It was a delight to come up with these, reminiscing on childhood memories of Baum’s books and the small school library where I encountered them.
While I didn't want the book to be a literal travelogue, I liked the idea of it alluding to one.

STEP RIGHT UP, my RPG set in a traveling carnival in 1930s Dust Bowl Oklahoma, enters its playtest era.
