@ottocrosswind.bsky.social
Houstonian suburban traditional cartoonist and dedicated stop-motion animator. Currently doing 2D animation on YouTube at Otto Crosswind.
I COULD do a horror 2D animation to help me break some free time in between my current anime OP project. That way I can do more 2D with claymation themes that I can use for compilations later, and have uses for my royalty free licensed music that I can give credit for while covering them with videos

My strengths in 2D animation:

1) I can do subtle bits really well, such as spinning objects midair
2) my movement animations are usually not too choppy at 6FPS and look good from the medium

Weaknesses:

1) legs don’t swing right
2) text animation isn’t fluid
3) I can’t animate using color properly

I think Cure Mystique’s design is really cute. I love the hearts in the pigtails. I also love how the pink fades to light purple at the end of her hair Oh and I also really like the red ribbons! I think they go good with the pink. 🩷❤️

In social skills there’s initiative and then there’s alertness. You become a stronger charismatic figure if you have both, but at first what you want to train is your initiative. The alertness will follow as you get your foot through the door first. Don’t worry about mistakes if you need leadership.

Wish me luck working on my first official 2D/stopmotion full scale project since my Bocchi the Rock semi scale project back in January 2026! I plan on animating A Lull in the Sea’s OP song scenes using Tahoma2D. #tahoma2d #blender2d #stopmotion #clayanimation #promosky #artistsonbluesky #2danimation

Good morning BlueSky!!! I’m gonna work on a 2D animation for A Lull in the Sea soon, but the first draft may just be in black and white at first before getting a color fill edit session later on when I try to use Tahoma2D to create it. I’m choosing the first opening song as my rotoscope referencing.

I let the video games win today. Tomorrow I simply MUST attend the pauper event, I just can't let my depression become the pilot here. It is too easy to lose sight of myself and just give in to rot.

Today wasn't bad, presence of mind turn a depressed day into more of a chill day.

Good job! I notice the subtle details being improved. I had a long time to realize how realistic and possible it is for anyone to improve their art skills just like any other skill in life that takes hard work and dedication and of course time. I’m learning 2D on Blender and Tahoma2D for example! <3

The thing I learned most about peace and minimal chaos is that boredom isn’t peril, that’s our stifled trauma speaking out of place. If you can handle being alone and transmute that loneliness into inner peace then it becomes so much easier to handle real emergency and bigger life decisions to come.

I’m enjoying my morning, I successfully did some yoga therapy and mindfulness techniques and feel better and peaceful at the moment. Lots of existing stressors are easier to navigate and I enjoy my past times like watching 2D indie animation pilots and series a whole lot more than I did weeks before

Currently chilling with my cup of hot chocolate coffee and ketchup egg salad plus pizza crusts. I feel good and confident and relaxed. I might be able to finish doing these DMV forms and delay my appointment so I can get everything ready for the weekend instead so I’m not overwhelmed with work duty.

It’s also okay to ask for help. People just suck sometimes. If you’re hurting, don’t feel like you have to do it all alone. It can be hard more often than we like to admit, but if we’re still here, that counts for something. Never give up the good fight, always add in some more rungs and have grace.
It is ok to complain. Not everything has to be spun into toxic positivity. Some days just suck.
