I saw this rather out of touch interview with Ira Glass the host of ‘This American Life’. He was on an episode of Uncut SubwayTakes with Kareem. I believe his take was something to the effect of: you should be trying to listen to stuff, like podcasts and videos, at 1.7 or 2x speed. 1/6

If you talk to regular nerds long enough, you realize they prop up either disco Elysium or Baldur’s Gate on a pedestal far above their real lived experiences, or others tastes. The “sublime” they experienced was simply too enticing.

State of the TTRPG scene: running an exhibition stall next to the events stage (...) l. They have a well attended talk about getting in to TTRPGs. The question of games other than 5e comes up, and how theyre good to get into, using Pathfinder and playing Disco Elysium (the crpg) as only examples

Commander bracket changes are whack btw, idk bout yall but game shouldn’t be shorter than 8 turns, on the fast end. Fastest decks I’ve felt satisfied playing against? 5 turns tops.

So, I technically DID finish a ttrpg thing this year, I just gave up at the stage of putting polish on it to work on two other non-ttrpg games… idk what that says about me but I think it means my turnover on projects is getting much much quicker, these are the two most ambitious games I’ve ever made
