a digital illustration of three different iterations of the evangelion unit-01 design. it is titled "DESIGN EVOLUTION OF EVANGELION - EVA-01 TEST TYPE" and has text underneath the designs. they are as follows: NEON GENESIS EVANGELION (TV) Many details on the Evangelion change constantly. This includes but is not limited to its proportions (mostly its shoulders and torso), its “teeth” (sometimes the upper back teeth are part of the purple section of the head), the “core” area of its chest being purple, and the text on its arms (which usually only appear in promo material). THE END OF EVANGELION (FILM) EXTRAPOLATED DESIGN Unit-02 was redesigned by Takeshi Honda for the film, sporting a simplified design with unique proportions. Unit-01’s appearance in the film doesn’t change, but this is a theoretical design made to match Unit-02 and the Mass Production Evangelions. REBUILD OF EVANGELION (FILM SERIES) There are slight changes to the design between Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone and the rest of the films, most noticeable on the arms and chest.
