Anyone who refuses to vaccinate their child against meningitis has never had a child stricken with it and given a 50-50 chance of surviving the night. In pre-vaccine days, my older son contracted it. Thankfully, he survived and recovered, but it was touch and go for 24 hours or so.

I have added Neighborhood Dead Critter Removal to my resume. A dog walker asked me yesterday if I could do something about a dead cat in front of the neighbor's house. Calls to the village to have the street crew pick it up have gone unanswered.

It's official. Our misRepresentative in Congress is a trumper, through and through. In his weekly email update, Nick Langworthless praised HOG - Herr Obese Gropenfuhrer - for his decisive move against "drug traffickers." Nick may even have typed that straight-faced.

The way trump keeps threatening military interventions - Venezuela, Nigeria, and Iran - he's going to have FIFA rethinking awarding him that peace prize.
