The way ICE whisked Mahmoud Kahlil out of the North and into the Deep South reminds me of 19th-century slave catchers prowling the streets of northern cities to bring free Black people to the Slave South. The boundary between the 2nd and 5th District Courts is a modern-day Mason-Dixon line.

Guillermina is pruining in a Northern CA vineyard. She uses special shears to trim the grapevines. With carefully pruning, the wine grapes will be used to make some of the region’s best wines next summer. #WeFeedYou
