It's actually insane how difficult it is to install Microsoft Office these days.

I think my next phone will be an iPhone.

If I'm gonna have no control over the thing anyway it might as well be pretty.

Ugh, my headphones are dead. All of technology sucks.

Apple removed the headphone jack for no reason, then everyone made fun of them, and then six months later everyone copied them when they, too realised they could forcibly sell shitty Bluetooth headphones to their customers.

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.

It's wild that out of all the walled-garden features and Apple specific tech the thing that might actually make me finally buy an iPhone is AirDrop.

I love the @blackmagicdesign.bsky.social NAB video. It's like 2 hours of switchers and hyperdecks and shit, then in the last 20 mins they make the most exciting camera announcement of the last 5 years and finish by casually introducing a new film scanner because yeah you forgot they did those too.

The biggest challenge I have faced in buiding a new static website by hand is whether I should have .html at the end of my pages or not.

Other than that, it's quite a good challenge

All Instagram had to do was put an option in your profile to show as "portrait" or "classic grid" but platforms these days are so against any sort of user customisation that I bet they didn't even think about it.

The wicked movie was good, but I do think it's a real shame they didn't install an unexplained giant dragon puppet above the screen. Doesn't quite capture the vibe of the stage show otherwise.
