I don't think people understand just how bad things are about to get. We're sleepwalking into a full blown dictatorship. Normalcy bias and denial are keeping people deluded that it's not happening.

the thing to note about the Elon “Department of Government Efficiency” thing is that the Government Accountability Office already exists and serves this basic function. the problem is that it’s largely serious and nonpartisan. they’re trying to build their own hyper-ideological version of it.

Journalists, there is no such thing as the Department of Governmental Efficiency. It does your readers, listeners, and viewers no good to pretend that there is one because the President-elect says so.
