📍Senator Fetterman had a VFIB—the leading cause of cardiac arrest—he almost died if not for his implanted defibrillator, which can cost $34,000 to over $51,000. Days ago, he also just voted with GOP to gut health insurance tax credits for millions. Hope he has a change of heart.

Yeah, but it's OKAY for Texas and other RED states? OKAY, can someone explain this? I don't remember sleeping through my civics class.
UPDATE: The DCCC seeks to join a California redistricting case to defend the state’s new Prop 50 map. The group called out Republican plaintiffs’ legal effort to block the measure in spite of “over five-and-a-half million California voters” approving the map just last week.

China’s CO2 emissions have now been flat or falling for 18 months, starting in March 2024.

This trend continued in the third quarter of 2025, when emissions were unchanged year-on-year.

If this trend starts to move into sustained carbon emissions reduction it would be hugely significant.

Batteries are coming to Europe. Earlier this year Europe’s largest battery storage site went live at Blackhillock, Scotland.

The facility has a capacity of 300MW/600MWh.

Much larger batteries are under development: A huge 1 GW / 4 GWh system is being constructed in Jänschwalde, Germany.
