oscar and i are finishing up the john wick series and i think in the end of 3 and in the first half of 4 (maybe the second half i forget... we only got through the first half last night) the writers actually stumbled into good takes on state violence by doing sloppy world building

there's increasing awareness of the CAFE regulations that make compact *footprint* trucks uneconomical to develop/sell but the height is literally just americans being stupid. rides worse on the freeway, WAY harder to load stuff or hop in the bed, and are you really offroading like that?
