The trades are not work for unintelligent people. I am having a hell of a year as a white collar worker and no matter how tempting the concept of welding school or electrical might be, I see how hard my partner works blue collar not just physically but in problem solving & comms and I could not
this is actually a solid case study in why ‘just go into the trades’ is a bunch of foolishness: if you don’t know how to think or organize your thoughts or god forbid memorize then you’ll be just as much of a failure in jobs that don’t require a college degree as you will in jobs that do

Got let go from my second job this year, a week after finding out the car we bought has a bad transmission. At this point I just have to laugh at this stupid frickin year.

Like much of that this regime does, the murders of Venezuelan fishermen and boat passengers seem to be being conducted for the sake of making social media content that demonstrates Trump’s masculine dominance. So one way to describe them is as snuff films.
There is no conceivable argument that these ships, even if we assume they were carrying narcotics, could not be dealt with in some other way. I think we can just drop the caveats and say: This is mass murder.
Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.

There was a ghost in a suburban cemetery that walks up a couple steps and through an archway. The ghost disappears after it goes through the arch, reappears at the steps and repeats ad infinitum. Got so popular with teen ghost hunters like me that they tore out the arch. Where does ghostie go?
