Hi all, new to BlueSky. I am a hobby photographer/videographer in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Audio is also a fun thing that I play around with. I went to community college for TV Broadcast and Live Sound Reinforcement classes and got a BS in Journalism and Media Communications. I love history too.

The TV studio of Poudre School District Channel 10 as photographed in 2012 by me for print photography used on episode posters. The set has two long tables covered with black table cloths. Various hands on science experiments are on the table and around the studio. Tie-dyed backdrops made up the background of the set. Studio lights mounted from support rails are turned on and light up the TV studio space. A KiPro video recorder is plugged into the TV control room setup at Poudre School District Channel 10 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Status information is visible in blue text on the LCD screen. Various playback and recording buttons are clustered around the LCD screen. This was the first solid state SSD video recorder device that I learned how to use. Coming from using tape recorders and decks this was a huge leap forward in technology. An analog audio mixer at Poudre School District Channel 10 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Masking tape is used to label what audio channels are what. In the foreground of this image a TV video switcher is visible. The silver handles let one fade between different video sources on different video buses. Various buttons control what video is the active source on each bus. In the out of focus background is an analog audio mixer. A man's hand is controlling the white faders on the mixer. Other TV studio control equipment for PTZ cameras is further in the background.

Shadows from sunlight come through an old glass window and fall on the ceiling. Leaves and trees from outside are visible as shadows.

The light is constantly changing in different rooms making for interesting photos throughout the day.

Drawing group this morning with a few friends was a nice way to relax.

I drew the cover of a book depicting George Sorel who I had not heard of. He apparently was a political commentator with some rather extreme views. Not my kind of person.

My mom and I made a stop for lunch in #Longmont #Colorado today at one of our favorite Sushi places, Sakura Japanese Cuisine. It has been a fantastic place to eat with amazing food.

Japanese artwork and memorabilia on one of the walls at Sakura. Although we could not understand the conversation between staff and chefs we could tell they were having a good time. View of the sushi bar and several tables and chairs. Yellow and Red paper decorations are hanging over the sushi bar. One of my favorite things at Sakura is the Una Don, a dish with grilled eel over a bed of rice. It comes in a neat box. Yellow paper decorations hang from the ceiling above tables at Sakura. In the corner there is a Pink paper umbrella on the wall. Several wooden booths are to the right under decorative lights on the wall. Various Japanese artwork and memorabilia is on the walls.

Contrails from engines on planes are lit up by the full moon in the night sky. Parts of trees are lit up from street lights and the moon, while other parts are in shadow.

This was a good test of Night Mode in the Pixel camera app on Android.

Parts of trees are lit up from street lights and the moon, while other parts are in shadow. The trees have a strange green glow in the parts that are visible. A 2013 photo that I called "Lines of Power".

Dredge Piles informational sign Between 1898 and 1942, miners in the Breckenridge area operated giant dredges, scouring the gulches and river valleys for every last bit of gold. From 1905 to 1922, two dredges operated in French Gulch: the Reliance and Reiling dredges. They were among the most profitable in Breckenridge, recovering an average of $1,000 in gold per week (approximately $100,000 in today's dollars). The dredges did enormous damage to the environment, lining the river valleys with long piles of gravel. The Reiling dredge created the rock piles you can see from here

Bowling has been a fun activity and way to meet new folks. Before this I had only bowled a few times, but remembered that I enjoyed it.

The Poudre Valley Playboys were the musical talent at our neighborhood's block party. They are amazingly talented and great musicians.

It had been awhile since I had set up audio equipment like PAs, monitors and a mixer but it went smoothly.

They are playing in a neighbor's driveway in the backyard under a tree with yellow and green leaves. The sun was hitting the trees across the street in a way that lit one of the tree trucks up in a ghostly white. Seeing that large tree without its leaves was certainly different. Some trees still have their leaves, while others are completely bare. It certainly is colder out.
