A laser printer cost similar like a small car back in the day. Well, I exaggerated. But it certainly feels like it.

The Japanese does minimalist design better than anyone. A simple LED and a latch to close the door on this disk drive. What else do you need?

Edutech back in the day was very....um...boring. At least it is for the teenagers.
No too sure if the publishers really thought that it would engage the kids with this software.

Adventure International as a gaming pioneer back in the day. To be honest, most of their games were not my "cup of tea" but it made a name of itself.

My dad's work in the early internet days affected so many people. If you knew John Friel or just used his software to get online, please let me know, I want to know all of the people whose lives were touched.
It’s Friday.
You rush home from school and power up your family's 386, clicking the turbo button, hoping it will boot faster.
Firing up Qmodem, you dial your favorite BBS, "Baud to the Bone."
You hit "D" for Door Games.
Crimson red ANSI art fills your screen.

The maker of QModem has died. He worked at Wildcat! BBS (Mustang Software) for a time. I ran a multiline Wildcat BBS on DesqView and later OS/2 Warp for years. Today, my boss at Microsoft is the author of Wildcat BBS! Stay in this business long enough and you’ll meet tons of lovely and smart people.
