I was so certain this was gonna be the worst February of them all. But my dog is doing better, the meds are working and she’s in good spirits. Maybe we get to enjoy her for a bit longer.

While I care for my sickly senior dog, my SIL just got a puppy and keeps sending adorable updates of the other end of this pet-owning spectrum. The newness, the energy, the vitality.
