I can't think of better rebranding ambassadors for masks than the 2026 Olympians. Our leaders have tried to pass off masks as something you only wear if already sick or older with comorbidities.

But everyone is vulnerable to post viral illness. These athletes get it 👏🏼👏🏼

Important information for fitness coaches, pilates and yoga instructors, and physical therapists working with clients suffering from P.E.M. (post exertional malaise).

"Traditional 'build up gradually' programs are contraindicated — they risk serious harm, crashes, and permanent setbacks."

The article is specific to Connecticut, but the issue is nation-wide.

If you are in a position to support your local library financially, now would be a great time to give.

And if you are using a local library, cut them a little slack and be patient as they navigate this upheaval.

Wow, looks like this will be soooo good! But am I tempted enough to leave my hidey-hole and head for NY? Hmmmmm.

Looking for recommendations on a gift book for a friend who just read both Isabel Wilkerson's books (Caste and The Warmth of Other Suns), and he now wants to read about Native American history.

I thought maybe Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee? Other suggestions?

Thanks in advance #booksky !

Picked up a bad habit over the last decade or three; I've not allowed myself the time or space or freedom to daydream. The young me was a champion daydreamer. New goal: to enter the silence joyfully and listen as my own heart weaves tales.

Finally, a freakishly warm January day that has melted much of the snow, so I can get outside in the dirt to do some workings. And no, next-door-neighbor, it's not your concern what I am burying beneath the sassafrass tree.

Another ear-warmer/headband off the needles. My hair's in a bun 99% of the time, so these are better than hats. No pattern, just a basic double knit on straight needles with a mattress stitch seam. Using up my stash of KC Cloudpaca. Might make a short double knit scarf to match.

Vegan, no-alcohol eggnogg.

The suck potential was so high.

It surprised us. Incredibly yummers.

Whipped cream, however, was a bust.

Thoroughly enjoying this book.

It's an informative but leisurely read. I'm supposed to be reading something else, but I picked this up and couldn't put it down.
