Fences are basically #masks for yards.

This blue one I passed was looking especially pretty with the bright red Boston Ivy growing on it.

Tendrils of red Boston Ivy grow through spaces of a blue painted fence. Between the fence boards, there are hints of a tree in the yard also midway through changing its colours.

This ivy is considered an invasive species in Ontario, but it's not as fast growing as Virginia Creeper which I maintain is clearly the work of the devil.

Until recently, I didn't realise robins in North America were entirely different birds to those in Europe. I thought the UK just had a strange socially agreed upon stylization of odd little chubby robins for Christmas 😬

A robin (the North American kind) with it's characteristic bright red breast sits in the branches of a Japanese Maple. The leaves of the maple are red all year round. Green foliage of other nearby bushes peek through in the background. The Robin is keeping a watchful eye on the humans whose porch they built a nest on.

Adding dark chocolate to tomato-based sauces helps to balance the acidity and rounds out the flavours. A little brown sugar also does this, but the chocolate brings an additional depth which complements the savouriness, and for something like chilli con (or sin) carne, also balances the spiciness.
