@sherrodbrownoh.bsky.social This is why I want to know if you would vote to defund ICE. I wouldn’t just take promises- before votes all DHS facilities need to have open doors for Congressional oversight then maybe a small percentage of money released
I know votes on legislative packages often involve cross-cutting considerations, and members of Congress will have to weigh those. But if I were a member of Congress, I don’t believe I could vote for any appropriation bill that funded DHS without requiring changes in ICE and CBP practices.
