I've known Nico for years. Of all the friends I've made in this space, he's one of the most kind and insightful souls I know. It makes me sad and angry that the furry community can act so swiftly judgmental and exclusionary to someone who's been so kind to me.
It's hurtful more than I'd like to admit to live in the shadow of a "drama" history thrust upon me like I don't have feelings. The past 10yrs of my life have been viciously brutal offline, meanwhile people online continue to try to stonewall me out of a sense of community.
Joined a popular Furry Visual Novel discord last night, get to talking and getting along with folks, wake up and I'm banned from the server for no explanation. It really upsets me how a few old callouts still obviously linger over me years later when most of these folks don't even know me.

My first "big" callout came the same year I was sexually abused by an ex. My next big one came after I got fired from my full time job. The next big one came the year after I got raped. The next big one came around a month after one of my friends died. No one knows THOSE parts of my life, though.
