Considering how extreme things have been getting in general, it feels unwise to be treating people like this in our own spaces. There is a real lack of kindness and understanding in this community when someone has been designated as an acceptable target.

He's not the only friend I've had who's been treated this way. I've been told a lot of cases of people being pushed or harassed out of circles and communities based on baseless accusations from toxic individuals. It seems to happen all the time. It's why I've never put myself out there very much.

My first "big" callout came the same year I was sexually abused by an ex. My next big one came after I got fired from my full time job. The next big one came the year after I got raped. The next big one came around a month after one of my friends died. No one knows THOSE parts of my life, though.
