Thanks to republicans and greedy for profit insurance schemes, my employer sponsors healthcare is going up 18%.. that’s a lot and it’s nothing compared to people with ACA coverage.. great job, you’re really making the wealthy great again…

We are setting out to employ 6 full-time maintainers and 6 interns in 2026 to make sure #rustlang is well maintained and bugs and contributions get the attention they need.

In times like these, the song Toy Soldier by Eminem hits a little harder.

Ya know, I was trying to pin down why attacking civilian vessels in the Caribbean sounded familiar, then I remembered that a particular 1940s German state did the same thing during WW2

Honestly, it’s pretty lucky that I can draw down my retirement account to cover preventative medical expenses so I can work more years in the capitalism machine. Not sure what I’d do if I could actually retire before I die.

I’m super glad I live in a country where my taxes go to painting border walls and not covering medical expenses acquired from my wife and I doing the very thing they claim they want married people to do, have kids. Hello $450/m for the next year to pay off a $4600 medical collection 🫠

American corporations are on pace to spend $1.1 trillion on stock buybacks in 2025, an all-time high.

Buybacks don't create more jobs, increase wages, or grow the economy — but they do help juice CEO pay that's often tied to stock performance.

Nothing trickles down to workers.

My pronouns are he/he because my life is a joke. (But seriously, support trans rights because trans rights are human rights).

Depression is so weird. Some people just doom scroll, some people lay in bed, others emotionally spend on little dopamine treats. Me? My brain says I need to go spend $520 on lumber to build the desk/bookshelf combo I dreamed up for the primary bedroom for my wife and I.

This year, I tell ya.. just beating me down. Today I’m saying goodbye to my dog Mumford, my best friend. The first big commitment for my wife and I. I already lost my dog Bella just two months ago. Two in one year, just a gut punch 😣💔

Frustrated with lack of a visual diff for KiCad PCBs in git, I made a simple shell script that does 90% of what I want. Here's a demo of it in action. Now I can "git diff" my PCBs!

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

I wish that when people predicted what’s happening now, that people would have listened in 2015/2016 so we never actually got all of this. The systematic push by people who are now loudly saying what they’ve always believed is short of astounding.

Green Day was and will probably always be one of my favorite bands, especially the political messaging behind their songs. Architects has definitely been moving up the list. Their song Whiplash is very pointed and a great anthem of our current resistance, for me at least.
