And the timing super matters. No tax on tips, etc., are all temporary provisions. By the time those expire, roughly half the country loses or gets nothing.
Another thing pushing here is that the cuts to the poor phase in. So the cuts are deeper and the new tax cuts go away. Just a brutal law.

It isn't that he won't tell you, it's that he legitimately doesn't know, nor does he know who to ask to find out. Hegseth knows where his beer fridge is in his office and might know where the bathroom is but that's about the extent of his knowledge/capability.
