It’s not really “breadth” is it if a slot isn’t filled by a language when this student enjoys science subjects- a MFL could help them get into a Russell Group uni, for example. And yet English is counting twice “for breadth”

I hope SLT in schools are aware of the farce currently happening as regards the new spec GCSE in MFL and in particular, the marking requirements for Paper 2 (25%) changing just last week, they went down like a lead balloon and AQA just last night have pulled them.
All whilst MFL teachers are 1/2

If I were a Head teacher I swear, uniform would be so simple. I’d have a white polo top, logo jumper and jogging bottoms. Shorts in summer. Black trainers.
Comfy, unisex.

What I am reading into the #curriculumandassessmentreview is that Primary MFL is on shaky ground and I can see it going.
Which, I’m not *actually* against. Obviously would be saddened for colleagues who teach primary languages but there’s just too much going on in the curriculum at primary…..
