I'm a blue dot/Gen X/colon cancer survivor lawyer in Texas, trying but failing to spend more time gardening and baking than paying attention to politics. Love my feisty NASA scientist husband, my family, my fluffy Schnauzer, and my sweet old shy gray cat.

Sorry but, IMHO, after reading an excerpt, all I can say about Olivia Nuzzi's book is that I really just don't think she can write. It just reads like a pretentious attempt to make her behavior somehow avant-garde instead of corrupt and tacky.

It's pretty much unreadable, even with the RFK2 stuff.

Garcia: We know this is a nation of immigrants, and Donald Trump is attacking the very identity of our country. Right now, whether you are documented or not, whether you are seeking asylum at our border or have been here for decades, you could be targeted by this administration.

Home Depot could implement a policy requiring ICE to present a judicial warrant before operating on its property. Businesses are fully within their rights to decide who is allowed on their premises.

This vile man, who has sexually assaulted over 20 women and an unknown (so far) number of girls, *never* had control over himself.

Q: “The DOJ statement earlier this year saying that the Epstein files would not be released mentioned the fact that the review of the documents and the evidence did not suggest that any additional investigation of third parties was warranted. What changed since that you launched this investigation?”

If only we had competent people running the FTC, people who would look at monopolies and collusion...
Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

In all the uproar, this is getting lost

The government is not functioning. Competent people have been fired or have left. Corrupt people and incompetent people are running many of our most significant departments.
Corruption at every level of government. Inconvenient truths are eradicated.

Last night’s lavish White House dinner showed us the global oligarchy coming together in plain sight.

By cozying up to MBS, Trump has signaled to the world that the United States is now on the side of authoritarianism, not democracy.

BREAKING: President Trump has just signed the Epstein bill into law as he claims that many Democrats will likely be implicated and also that the whole thing is a hoax.

Judging from this rant, I think he’s pretty nervous.

Most of us have no idea how bad it is inside ICE detention centers because they have kept it hidden. Then a truth teller shows up and says it plain.

The conditions are filthy. The treatment is inhumane. The abuse is Systematic and routine.

If Congress follows Trump's directive to rename the Defense Department, it could cost taxpayers nearly $2B in new signage, letterheads, and digital code.

Imagine if we invested that money — and our bloated military budget as well — on the American people instead of the Pentagon.
