Finally built my Broke Rabble from #maelstromsedge I bought a few months ago and wow. What a fantastic kit! Required some creative uses of pieces to make decent poses (not all are winners still), but was nice to work with multi-pose plastic again. Painting will be fun!

It was mislabeled as a #mutantchronicleswarzone 3-up prototype, but thanks to some helpful folks on the #WarzoneEternal Discord, I now know it's a #Void Interdict Marine prototype. Pencil for scale.

I first noticed gaming miniatures while browsing kits like this. #Revell did mecha fans a huge service licensing these and bringing them to the US back in the day.
I tend to prefer mechs like this to some of the ornate Gundam kits.

I'm making progress for #WhenNightmaresCome. This #ManticGames Nightscreech is mostly done, and it's going to be the Atrocity (big boss) of the campaign.

Also got #WarzoneEternal on the table again on Saturday, and I think my friend liked it enough to play it again. Me rolling really high (badly) on all of my armor checks probably didn't hurt 😅 Wish I could roll like that in D&D!

The Weirdos engine is my top pick for convention games because it's very easy to pick up and has a lot of room for homebrew.

Had one fantastic #swordweirdos game. The elevated, dense terrain made for a lot of nice tactical problems. I had a gang of undead led by a vampire! He had powers but was hard to bring them to bear without getting him killed. #MiniaturePainting #nerdlings #wargaming #terrain #ttrpg #minipainting

I don't remember if that was a fair fight for a Level 1 Fighter/Magic-User. I was probably supposed to avoid them. He tried; I was too young and impatient 😅

Fun fact about me: my very first time trying D&D, my character failed to defeat four giant frogs, and one ate him.
I don't remember if that was a fair fight for a Level 1 Fighter/Magic-User. I was probably supposed to avoid them. He tried; I was too young and impatient 😅

This WIP was only a few years ago. Look how nice I got the casing of his flamethrower (the wonderfully named Gehenna Puker).
Not award winning or anything, but I am very happy with it.

I think it might be time to grab some Reaper Bones and relearn how to paint, starting with the absolute basics. Anything outside of basecoat, wash, or drybrush (sometimes) just fails. #miniaturespainting

Finally got #WarzoneEternal on the table. It's so nice to play a game that flows so smoothly. Once you are familiar with the d20 roll-under based tests, everything just...makes sense.
It hits the nostalgic notes while providing a fast, tactical game...even when those nat20 critical failures hit 😅

I'm just going to say I remain disappointed in most humans today.
Oh, and I have painter's block. I'm stuck part way on these #WarzoneEternal models and haven't figured out how to proceed yet.
It's like my muscle memory is completely shot; I know what I want to do but I can't seem to execute.

That weird 4chan post doesn't make a lot of sense satire wise. GW might massively favor Space Marine, but acting like they didn't vastly improve/refreshed a lot of the Xenos and non space marine lines is delusional.
