"Six thousand dollars? It's not even leather".

Remembering back in the 90s in London when we'd all just got the INTERNET at work & everyone downloaded those xmas lights that twinkled on your computer screen & the whole system crashed & we all got sent home & the IT department had a nervous breakdown.

Simpler times.

Something magnificent about Kemi Badenoch's self-confidence, and her claim that the Mandelson affair is entirely down to her asking questions at PMQs. Like a toddler who thinks their plastic steering wheel is controlling the car.

I used to be a bit of a tit about DID.
Only listening if it was someone I personally admired.

Good news being so scarce, I now listen to them all.
Back catalogue. They're so wonderful.

But I didn't listen to the Badenoch one.
I'm not on glue ffs.

As a diehard Francophile goofball Timothée Chalamet's multiple French press circuit appearances are ace.

The cutest TF1's Anne-Claire Coudray explaining pre-interview to M. Chalamet that they couldn't tutoyer (informal/familiar) each other live on air

Twinkle in eye, he did it anyway.

Un peu :)

And all the carnivores sang "Mmm, Danone".
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

Rick Astley night on BBC.

What an absolutely top fella.

Flipping triffic.

I shouldn't derive any amusement from my kid's unbuckled mirth at the female curlers repeatedly demanding "HARDER, HARDER, HARDER" but I've never at any point claimed to be a great mother now have I?

Do Winter Olympics competitors have to be human? Some country should send a flying squirrel to the ski jump. Tiny wee skis, helmet. That little bastard would never come down.

My kid's look of abject confusion & horror as he watches Brotherhood Of Man's "Figaro" on TOTP this evening is absolutely worth my torn perineum 24 years ago.

Melinda Gates:

"I think we’re having a reckoning as a society, right?”.

Marina Hyde:

"Cards on the table, I don’t think we’re having one at all".

I'm 54 & don't think there'll be a reckoning in my lifetime.

Obsessing over individual players and political chaos leaves less time to focus on the misogyny. And that’s for the best, isn’t it guys, says Guardian columnist Marina Hyde

Absolutely lovely shout out for @quietriotpod.bsky.social & @sturdyalex.bsky.social (& by extension @pimlicat.bsky.social too!) on @mrjamesob.bsky.social's Friday LBC show today from nervous caller Rihan.

She's a big fan, as am I.

Yay for the good guys!

Whatever you think about Keir Starmer I'd place good money on him not saying:

1) "whoopsie I lost that mobile".

2) "it's almost as if the pertinent WhatsApp messages have just disappeared".

And he just provides everything he has.

He's fucked up royally but he is the antithesis of tories/ remain.

Drawing a spunking cock with spiky balls on a manky parked van.
What "core British values" has "the left" not defended? Can someone ask this sentient fucking saucepan what he means?
Keir Starmer attacks the racism of Reform and Matt Goodwin but then adds that "Britain has also been let down by a mindset on the left of politics that is too slow to defend core British values"

Its got great reviews and I was beyond excited to get the cast I wanted and please listen to it because everyone is very funny AS IS THE WRITING OBVS.

I'm a week & a half into my new admin job at the university student union I basically lived in when I studied here in the early 90s.

The lady who runs the café already knows my breakfast order.

I could hug her.

It's the little things these days innit.

My professional prognosis is that "Dr" Oz requires a kick in the dick.
Dr Oz: "If we could get the average American to start working a year earlier, right out of high school, or a year later -- not retire -- or work better during their lifetime because they're healthy, it would generate about $3 trillion to the US economy. That would more than remove the debt."
