Watched more anime today. Went through 7 episodes of My Hero Academia Final Season as well as continuing where I left off on Witch Watch after putting it on-hold for a while (episodes 7-10). Really enjoyed both so far.

I have ordered a new laptop as my current one is starting to run into some issues. Won't arrive until December but at least it's sorted sooner than later.

Building up the PlayStation 4 collection more this week, with two new additions. Quantic Dream's games The Heavy Rain & Beyond: Two Souls Collection (two PS3 games remastered for PS4) and Detroit: Become Human.
I have played Beyond before, as it was part of the PS3 console bundle back in 2013.

Finished the Yakuza 4 Remaster. Also been 10 years since I last played the PS3 version. Aged better than the previous game and the new cast were great. Story is a bit convoluted but still interesting how intertwined it is between each of the main leads. 25 hours playtime with most substories done.

I watched The Running Man (2025) and it's an interesting one. More accurate to the source material than the 80s version, though it has some rough bits throughout. The first two thirds were great and the presenter dude was awesome. Glen Powell did a good job and the satire/propaganda stuff works.

A haul update for those curious. A couple anime (all from Anime Ltd) were supposed to arrive this month but have been pushed back to either December or January. Not sorted any Black Friday anime sale hauls yet as I want to pay off some stuff first but hoping to get some good things later this month.

Another Yakuza 4 progress update: Finished Tanimura's story the next day which was good, and then Kiryu's story which was surprisingly short yesterday. Today I should be able to finish the game!
Yakuza 4 progress update: Finished Saejima's storyline, now on Tanimura's, so reached the midway point of the game. It's weird going through this one because they changed the actor for the remaster (from Hiroki Narimiya to Toshiki Masuda), but he's done a solid job so far.
Made some progress with Yakuza 4 Remastered yesterday and today after being stalled by work over the past couple of days. Now on Part 2 of the story which is with Saejima. Enjoyed Akiyama a lot and was a great introduction to the game.

Watched the 1987 film The Running Man, was cheesy fun. Loved the dystopian aesthetic and story for the most part was good. Pacing was a bit all over the place and the final act was rather out of nowhere but overall a solid 80s action flick with some fun lines from Arnold.

Been a while but I updated the release slate pages on my blog, to cover the recently listed releases for UK anime, US anime and UK Asian Cinema. UK anime has had some date adjustments due to delays, whilst US anime has new additions.

Listened to two albums that got released today from 5 Seconds of Summer and The Devil Wears Prada. Both different genres but I like to diversify my music tastes whenever possible.

Had a go at my own custom hit exercise regime just now. May have gone a bit overkill but will make adjustments as I go along each attempt. As long as I burn off enough cals I say it's a success.

While last night's #StateofPlay Japan didn't offer much on brand new announcements, I am looking forward to Tokyo Xtreme Racer coming to PS5. No Sleep for Kamane Date coming to PS5 is also handy since NS2 was a GKC.
Also, NIS' Kyouran Makaism actually looks decent so I may get that as well.

I had yet to own Project A-ko from either the Discotek sets or Anime Limited's release, so I'm glad I had held off since I can just grab this 4K set that has all four OVAs together (one in 4K HDR, rest in 1080p SDR on the disc).

Watched Predator: Badlands at the IMAX earlier today. Great film, one of my favourites of the year! Different in a way to the other Predator films prior, but the main character was surprisingly good and both the soundtrack and cinematography were amazing. Elle Fanning's character was fun too.

In preparation for Predator: Badlands I finally got around to watching both Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers. Great films!
Prey at times you forget is a Predator film but the second half goes nuts with the action. Killer of Killers had great animation and cool approaches to the worldbuilding.

I finally got the work backlog sorted yesterday, it took pretty much a whole working day but it puts my mind at ease for the next week or two. Everything else will be up to the team at work to sort it out themselves.

Despite a hectic work day, had a social work outing today with bowling and dinner. Was a good time despite a few members weren't able to attend. The barriers were up but I did decently in general. Food was good too though I was full. Still need to sort some work tomorrow as I'll be on annual leave.
