The reality is that it takes time and patience to see the same kind of return as other platforms. Sometimes that means days, weeks, months, of consistent effort. It's too easy to put up two posts, not participate or boost your mutuals here, declare it's 'not working' and then stop using the site.

Logged into Twitter and saw almost no weird conspiracy or political stuff today. Don't know if it's just a good day over there but it seems more likely they may be intentionally trying to stop hemorrhaging users right now. Once the SWers leave, they're really losing everyone.

I really want to make it work here, but understandably a lot of people in the AEI don't want to move from X yet because it's what already works, it's where clients / fans look and it's where the community already is. It does feel like I won't be seen here, but I'll still keep trying.

I’ve been reluctant to put a lot of energy into a “Twitter alternative” because none of them have taken off.
But I hope we can regain that global conversation someplace again. Maybe this is the place.

I've been disenchanted with social media for quite some time and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I deleted my personal socials in 2016 or so and really only use social media for work purposes; to stay updated with community, my clients and have a place to advertise.
