Our “unalienable” rights don’t come from God or the government.

Our rights are based on our willingness and capacity to seize them.

We obtain and maintain the rights we have only through collective struggle.
Being right does not guarantee success.

Good intentions are not enough.

Victories—and real change—come from carefully planned, strategic campaigns.

“Power never yields without a fight, and repression is common against effective movements such as ours. It is important at these moments not to back down, to maintain and intensify pressure against the oppressive adversary, while remaining disciplined.”

“When you lie in a way that everyone knows you're lying, it's a projection of power…”

In fact, there's actually no such country as America.
What’s clever about “Together we are America” is that within the US it’s a message of unity but, given the placement in the program following shout-outs to a bunch of countries North and South, outside the US it can be interpreted as “Together we are the Americas.”

“One of the primary ways in which nations come to terms with their past is through stories…It is their importance that makes them vulnerable to manipulation, to being warped by authoritarian regimes and re-employed as instruments of control.”

If you're boycotting a business, let it be widely known.

Because it's not the economic hit that frightens companies; it's the bad publicity and brand damage.

What’s it going to take to get to mass strikes?
General strikes can have a tremendous impact, but they require an organized majority, solidarity and resources to weather repression.

The struggles of the poor and working class families are directly related to the wealth gap.

In the US, the top 10% of households have 67% of the wealth.

The bottom 50% of households have 2.5% of the wealth

The problem is oligarchs—not immigrants!
