three months after putting a bird feeder on the dinning room window a squirrel tried to partake in the feast. it jumped onto the little roof over the food and I scolded it. Startled, it jumped off and landed on the windshield of the car where it slid gracelessly onto the hood.

I'm still chortling.

I don’t know why there are so many articles on how to dress for your body type when literally everyone looks good in wizard robes

today I acquired a large squash and managed to roast it, puree, and portion it into freezer bags.

all in the same day.
absolutely unheard of.

feeling a little disappointed I didn't leave it on the table for weeks on end so I could admire its squash charm daily.

the collective noun for too many persimmons is a blessing of persimmons.

I have been so blessed that I'm baking a spiced persimmon loaf and yet I still have a whole bowl full of them.

bc algorithms most content we see online is a reflection of our behavior. if we're not careful interneting can turn into a toxic feedback loop..

Or you could end up with 80% of the articles in your news feed being about discovering that a species we thought was extinct is actually doing just fine

I took a break from this app for... a month or two??... and now I feel compelled to remind us all that doing the things we want to do is usually difficult & uncomfortable at first (or always). But you will never get to that thing you want if you aren't willing to have the whole experience

if you store your apples in the crisper drawer with the dill they will taste like dill. I share this because I made the uninformed decision to do just that and now I'm very confused about this apple I'm eating.

finally finished up this little book so I can move on to my next two bookbinding projects.

let's just pretend the different thread on the last two stations makes it extra magical.

let me revise that, it just became two book binding projects because I might as well make both sets of covers at the same time.
feeling emotionally drained and very underslept. I would very much prefer to spend the day hiding under the covers but instead I'm baking a cake and working on a new bookbinding project.
