Hi I'm The Burger Snail. I make pixel art video games for Personal Computers and video game consoles! I use OHRRPGCE. If you like RPGs and fish and seals and giant monsters you might like them. Most of them are free. I'm currently working on a big update for Walthros: Renewal.

Online play is very fun but REALLY needs an option to filter players by connection speed. No one's having fun at a 0/5 connection.

Welcome back

This is also incredibly common thought in superhero fandom even if the disagreement is about, like 5% of a film.
February 13, 2026 at 9:37 PM
I totally love doing that if I'm enjoying a film but feel a little lost on historical context. Sometimes it means I pause a lot an turn a two hour movie into a four hour one, but it's enjoyable if you're into that

I think that's a very healthy kind of self awareness.

And of course negative criticism should exist, but come at it from a place of reality.
February 13, 2026 at 9:20 PM
There's a chain of thought that goes:

I'm a good person
I didn't like this
Therefore it's bad
Therefore people who like it are bad
I have to defeat the bad people

And it's ludicrous. Don't be one of those

I will never get Inland Empire and I'm ok with that. I'm not going to write a review about how it therefore has to be an immoral work.
February 13, 2026 at 9:17 PM
Genuinely respect someone who can watch a movie, not understand it, and just flatly say "I don't get it." I mean that! I've been there too. It's a more honest reaction than many

The one person complaining that characters talk about heaven, but the film doesn't properly explain what heaven is, might be my favorite terrible review
February 13, 2026 at 8:56 PM
It's no Grave of the Fireflies but it's absolutely a tough film that offers very few moments of hope so I can totally get someone not wanting to watch it. A lot of the really negative Letterboxd reviews are spectacularly wrong though. Like, about basic plot elements and symbols.

There's a massive split between critics and audiences so far. I hope more people give it a chance!
February 13, 2026 at 8:44 PM
I honestly think this might be his best (I haven't seen Wolf Children yet)

The last decade of a loud portion of fans calling Ghibli films "cozy movies where nothing bad happens" prepared me for this I guess
February 13, 2026 at 8:35 PM
This film has a 3/5 average and people are calling it slow. Cosmic Princess Kaguya has a 4/5 average and people wanted it to be even longer. I am never going to see eye to eye with modern anime audiences.

Masterpiece. Loved every minute. 3/5 average on Letterboxd is absolutely ridiculous.

A โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… review of Scarlet (2025)

Lol it's been 25 minutes of trailers. A mix of international Oscar nominees and award winning films and terrible looking animated films
February 13, 2026 at 5:39 PM
I'm the only person at the theater seeing Scarlet and this place is ridiculously nice, genuinely surprised it's just an AMC. Methuen, MA. I've never been to this one.
February 13, 2026 at 5:14 PM
I've really got to get around to watching those!

Roger Corman's The Raven was the movie that finally 100% settled that I don't care if a movie is a faithful adaptation as long as it's done well
