I've come to believe that purpose is not "found". That being driven toward is not something we stumble into. Purpose is derived through equations of actions taken and received. Though some may feel as if they found purpose, I think it is arrived at through years of decisions resolving into pursuit.

I hate attention-based algorithms. I hate that every glance is recorded in some ledger. I hate that hate and interest are weighed with the same scale. I hate how every online interaction becomes tainted by the marketing machine. I hate the nearly imperceptible pressure on the tiller in every feed.

The fun thing about these "AI" BS things is it makes more sense not to make them great. If they're too good, people get efficient answers. Better to be kinda crappy and cause "customers" to waste tokens.

I was just telling my girlfriend the other day that the old world is dying. And, my stars, the new world is struggling to be born. And now is the time when you meet such INNNNteresting monsters.

AI is kind of the logical next step for SaaS. Every software program either needs it or is replaced by it, and every interaction is a micro transaction.

Having racist / sexist family means occasionally interacting with kids steeped in those beliefs. They're just a kid but I already want nothing to do with them. But you do your best trying to at least demonstrate outside perspectives. While they get further and further rooted in their prejudice.
