Just some dude.

"I can see it. In this world, all life will walk towards the future hand in hand."

To me, Alvis' final words at the end of the first Xenoblade Chronicles are the main theme of the entire series. It is why affinity and community are a part of every game. It is why opposing factions often find common ground. It is about a future in which different people can join together.

Xenoblade enemies will be named some shit like Curious George

I suppose that I would want the same thing from a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 upgrade as a lot of people do. Smoother graphics and framerate goes without saying, but I would like multiple save files, a cleaner HUD for screenshots, video capture, and just simple quality of life improvements.

The Virtual Boy thing is classic Nintendo marketing. The color changing options should have been at the very forefront of the Virtual Boy trailers. Surely, the harsh red color is no small part of why so many are put off by it. Then there is the peripheral. No surprise that this thing flopped before.

Always impressed with a Nintendo YouTubers' shared ability to make a ten-minute video out of a single post or line from an interview at least twice a week. Phrases like "highly speculative" and "take it with a grain of salt" do some heavy lifting.

I may sound critical, but I am clearly watching.

I have probably said it before, but if people like the quiet, pensive vibes of Frieren, in a world with a similar sense of wonder, in a story where it is more about the journey than the destination, with a character that speaks calmly, but a sense of solitude, they should absolutely watch Mushi-shi.

Midna's character design makes more sense when you imagine her as a Wind Waker character. Her proportions are more similar to a character like Tetra, with longer arms and shorter legs than what is natural. She went through several designs iterations, but her body shape was a common thread for those.

For as behind the curve as Nintendo always is with things like online functionality and graphical capabilities, it is a wonder that they kicked off the online showcases in a format that I think is not only distinctly Nintendo, but it has people calling any such thing a "direct", no whose reel it is.

The Love Is War special really just skipped over the last few arcs to just end the series? That is seriously disappointing...

Like I have some issues with the narrative that follows it, but I really wanted to see Hayasaka's story animated. Plus, we miss out on the thematic payoff in the climax.

A switch flipped, and I spent almost eight solid hours doing Sudoku puzzles without really thinking about the time. I might need to stop.

Many times, I have seen it suggested Izutsumi was shoehorned into Dungeon Meshi, despite the fact that she was always planned to be a part of the main cast. Before it became a series, Ryoko Kui made a Dungeon Meshi one-shot that presents the same main cast and core premise. This included Izutsumi.

Rereading Dungeon Meshi, all the bonus chapters, and the supplemental materials front to back was amazing. But also a mistake because it is that I can think about now.

Better rewatch the anime, I guess.

After playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, I have to say that my opinion on this has only been reinforced. Exploring in that game is an absolute fucking nightmare. Some expeditioners. Cannot even chart their own maps.
I have been seeing these opinions expressing games should not have mini-maps or waypoints. It seems that games that would typically have these features have been without them in more recent years. I get some people do not want them, but I do. I would rather spend less time in menus and map screens.

Beat Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Going to start calling it Ouinoblade Chronicles 3. I may not elaborate.

Game good, though.

I hope that Ryoko Kui continues to author bonus chapters like she did for each of the bonus chapters included with the Dungeon Meshi season one Blu-ray releases. Plus, it would be neat to have all of those compiled into something that I can actually own.

I have sympathy for Geoff Keighley losing both his father and his home. However, he used his platform to talk about his own personal struggles more than he has ever used it to bring light to the injustices in the industry these past several years. He is beholden to those responsible for injustice.

Finished my Dungeon Meshi reread. Polished it off like a good meal. Still one of my favorite endings ever.
Almost halfway through volume eight. 52 chapters down, so that means I have reached where season one of the anime ends. I already knew it, but this series rules.
Starting my Dungeon Meshi reread properly. We feasting.
