Fully convinced at this point that The Minecraft Movie is the Gen Z Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I just watched the Minecraft Movie and it is extremely good and the theater was the exact right amount of rowdy and kids were doing callbacks to the screen and singing along with Jack Black.

The whole theater yelling “CHICKEN JOCKEY” alone was worth the price of admission.

On a full flight this morning from PHL to BOS in a middle seat(!!) when the aisle and middle seat across from me don't check in and everyone gets to spread out.

Everything's coming up Milhouse.

Cube people with multiple cubes: do you have different lands for each cube you have or do you just have one lands station to use, figuring that you're never using more than one cube at a time? #mtgcube

I took a stab at my first cube design: The Red Box. It's an homage to the Red Box from Dungeons and Dragons, which was my first exposure to D&D in the 80s. The cube mainly uses cards from AFR and CLB and is a Peasant cube, focused on combat and fair magic. #mtgcube

Cube Cobra List: The Red Box
This is a peasant cube with a generous nod to Dungeons and Dragons, using cards mostly from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms (AFR) and Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate (CLB) with other ad...

Cube builders, which method for new cubes do you prefer?

A. Carefully consider each card before adding them to the pool of cards for the cube in the hope of minimal editing afterwards

B. Throw everything that even has a small chance of making it into the pool and then start cutting massively after

Starting off @vertexmtg.bsky.social with a 1-2 performance with the Bodleian Cube. All of the games were close but I still felt like the deck wasn't very resilient. Had a lot of fun in all of the games!

So much this. I am in Education and AI is destroying students left and right. Stop pretending it is anything more than an incorrect Google.
It's funny, really.

Almost 2 years ago, I went to a conference for information professionals (librarians and the like).

AI was practically a rallying cry.

For years I've suspected the conventional way of shuffling cubes was not very effective. I did a detailed analysis, including simulations of common methods, to understand it better and come up with an efficient strategy: the Broadcast Shuffle.

The Shuffler Really is Broken: Finding the Best Method for Shuffling Cubes — Lucky Paper
The conventional Cube wisdom may be to shuffle a cube as a group, exchanging piles randomly around the table, but in this case the shuffler is in fact broken! Here's why and how to shuffle your cube t...

This is very cool! Now I'm even more excited to go (even though I have no real expectations of winning the cube!)
In line with our tradition from last year, we'll be giving a cube to the champion as part of our prizing! We've put together a clone of @myagic.bsky.social 's Fae Cube, which will be included in the event and will go home with the winner!

I love my state.
NJ passes a law preventing cranky fucknuts from going apeshit on school libraries and librarians.

N.J. just struck a blow against banning books
It's called the "Freedom to Read Act."
