All the U.S. headlines I’ve read this morning refer to Leo XIV as first American or American-born Pope.
Strange formulation when he’s very much the second and there because the actual first American born Pope died in the first place.
I’ve only seen NPR not do that so far.

I’m often reminded that I’m happy with my Atlantic subscription. It’s relatively cheap, full of long interesting reads, and keeps me on my toes with challenging topics. Today it was hilariously funny to read those screenshots.

Lycée Doisneau en grève contre la dotation insuffisante. Cette année scolaire de nombreux incidents ont eu lieu après l’explosion des effectifs dans certaines classes. Les personnels réclament un retour à des seuils corrects pour avoir un climat scolaire apaisé.
