Wrote this in 2017 about the Russia 2018 World Cup and reposted it four years later about Qatar. In 2026, only the names have changed.*

Ultimately, nothing makes a difference, but you'll at least know you weren't part of it.

Why it’s time to boycott the World Cup – Fifa corruption, human decency, sponsor weakness and Russia 2018
Sepp Blatter has gone, but Fifa hasn’t changed. His legacy will be on display next summer: a festival of football glorifying one of the world’s most appalling regimes. Enough is enough, it’s time t…

This is astonishing, really

21 per cent of the Premier League’s history has had the City case hanging over it

That extends to 48.4 per cent if you go back to 2009-10 and the first season the charges relate to.

Yep

Disappointing and negative. Have to shake this off.

Failure at board/director of football level (whoever’s signs players). Scandalous to start season without signing a striker.

It’s almost as if we don’t have analysts to advise this. Or a manager who doesn’t see his casual errors in nearly every game he plays.
Thomas Partey has played RB in six matches this season.

Arsenal (one of the two best defenses in the PL) have conceded in all six of those matches. They’ve dropped 11 of 18 points on offer. The only win came against Southampton.

He cannot play RB.
