Listened to Sinead O’Connor’s memoir (in her voice) and learned so much — that she volunteered with vets, wanted to be a health aide, that Peter Gabriel treated her like “weekend pussy,” that the barber who shaved her head begged not to do it. Adore her forever & even more

Years ago, my academic career ended with a whimper. My 2nd was a newborn, life was in shambles. Proud that this fall I'll be back in a grad seminar studying literary translation (Russian to English). A lifelong dream. And working on Ukrainian too 💙
