The fact that large parts of the German media landscape “reported” on this White nationalist fever dream of a speech by Rubio as merely reaffirming the transatlantic alliance is so far removed from reality that it truly makes me speechless.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio giving a speech that is basically an extended version of the ethnonationalist Proud Boys oath: “I'm a proud Western chauvinist, I refuse to apologize for creating the modern world.”
The Rubio speech really is appalling, and if you haven’t read it yet, you should.

Es wird mir auf ewig unbegreiflich sein, warum man nicht einmal versucht diese "Partei" zu verbieten.
AfD-MdBs verschweigen nicht mal mehr, dass sie die Justiz gleichschalten wollen. Der Kollege ist übrigens seit August 2024(!) Honorarprofessor in Moskau.

The term “law enforcement” should not be used by media, except perhaps in quotations. It has sadly become an Orwellian term that is used to magically sanctify violence. Language matters. Be specific. Describe individuals with names and ranks. Say exactly what they did. Don’t repeat fascist hocum.
