As someone who loves cozy fantasy books, I think cozy has 2 meanings:
Books following Legends & Lattes’ formula;
Other books with a comfortable, low-threat feel, done in a myriad of ways.
There’s nothing wrong with either, but the latter can get confused w/the former if marketing uses that word.

This is good.
I think there’s a misconception out there that good writing means phrasing things in a way nobody ever has or would—that if a sentence feels familiar in the mind it fails. The opposite is true. Good writing is phrasing things in a way everyone has always wanted to and recognizes in their hearts.
