A hot cup of tea on a cold starry night.

Living in Kanata. They/ Them. Left, and I don't mean handed. No AI.

I follow people intentionally not for numbers, so if I followed you, I think you're neat.

Am I writing the book or is the book writing me? :O

One writer to another, I invite you to write a haiku about my cat. His name is Batty.

Jonathan Swift wrote a book titled "The Benefit of Farting Explained" under the pseudonym Don Fartinando Puff-Indorst, Professor of Bumbast in the University of Crackow.
To boot, it's only one of two of the best things I've read about him today.

A 13th century Halfling village falls apart after nonstop rain and famine. Rain brings a plague known as the Tarrare, Hunger. Survivors are left to reckon with a changed landscape, physically and politically, begging the question of what will sate the appetite of power itself.

I didn't realize this was a romance when I started it. I love Bujold and will read anything she writes. Despite the regrettable age gap between the lovers(I forgive this, being written by someone with older sensibilities) I am truly enjoying this. World building A++

A reread of Winter's Heart answered a burning question I had about this series that I didn't really articulate as a plot choice, more of a personal writer's bias. The bioessentialism!
He actually explains at the end here that male/female energies drive the Wheel of Time via their opposing natures.

Northern Flicker.
I know your habitat, call, nesting habits.
But I know not your name, which your lover called and called, though you could not get up.
Maybe if I had learned it, I could have saved you.
Who can teach the language that will save us all?

"Check the action on this bad boy." -cocks gun-
"Bad boy? That's a bad girl, mate."
"What? What...do you mean?"
"Yeah, no, for sure, I mean, look." -points-
"I uhh..."-looks- "I...don't see it."
"LOOK."
-looks more-
"You really gotta get in there. Closer."
-slap-
"Hey!"
"Idiot."

I'm not enough for this world.
Not cruel enough.
Not hard enough.
Not thirsty enough for the taste of blood.
I have spilled my own blood, but it wasn't I who drank it.
I guess it soaked into the earth and it's still there waiting for me to join it.

Not yet.

If #reality bites does that make it a vampire or a leech?
A cat bit me once, bad. I scared her accidentally. I was only 10 or so. She chased me down the block

Is reality a parasite or is it just trying to protect itself?

Don't startle reality, it might bite back.

I have nothing normal to say about literature that hasn't already been said.
I could get crazy with it.
#Literature? More like cliterature, bro can't find it without help and when he does he doesn't know what to do with it.
What do you mean Fight Club isn't an aspirational tale?

"Making history" as though it's bread to be broken and shared as spoils and not a moving, breathing thing.
History, the largest living organism, measures not in distance covered but it's unbroken temporality.
From "now" to "back then", the best way to travel, is, books.
