Now that's a boom I need.
In my gradual attempts to return to functionality, I've been reading more.

And I've picked up (again) Heather Corinna's insightful, gender expansive, feminist menopause book What Fresh Hell Is This

It's fantastic
Informative, funny, revolutionary, sympathetic, so good.

Seltsamer Zufall. Ein mildes Virus führt mit 10–15%iger Wahrscheinlichkeit zu Long Covid – gleichzeitig bekommen wir letztes Jahr 35.000 mehr Pflegebedürftige als erwartet.

Am besten weiter ignorieren.

Reading comics on my way to the office. Yesterday it was JJ Debbiel's In Limbo and there were tears at the office. Before that it was @reimenayee.com's My Aunt is a Monster, which is so lovely.

Today I looked and looked and finally remembered Kat put it on her stack - Debbie Jenkinson's Midlands.

Oh, and PSA:

YOU NEVER HAVE TO FORGIVE YOUR ABUSER.

ever.

And you don’t need to forgive in order to heal.

They’re not the same thing.

(Yes, you can forgive if that’s Correct for you. But you don’t have to, and nobody else traumatized does either.)

I hate this stupid pandemic so much. For my stupid health, I have to exercise and the only way I had fun doing that in recent years was at the fitness studio, which I can't go to bc it's worse for my health to catch covid. So I walked longer than usual today and now my ankle hurts bc why not. T_T

Sabrina and Torsten meet up with Nora Ephron, Meg Ryan, and Rob Reiner again all the way across the country - only to make it back to New York at the end - in this movie podcast referencing a movie that references a movie, “Sleepless in Seattle.”

@infrontofira.bsky.social m) I have seen Sleepless in Seattle quite a few times (but weirdly don't own it on DVD), but didn't realize until now: Walter is a reference to His Girl Friday, where Rosalind Russell also plans to marry Walter!

The Darcy drag king persona is proceeding apace. But today it's too warm for the pants. T_T
Nobody: So what are your plans for 2024?

Me: I was contemplating wearing pants again, but wildly overshot the target, so I'll end up in full Mr Darcy drag at the office in about a week or so.
